Candlewood Lake 8/13/13
Message:
I went out on Candlewood for the first time the other day. I went with Paul Mueller from www.paulmuellerfishing.com . I had never been to the lake and figured being such a big lake I should go with someone who knew the area. I have to say I was not disappointed. We put out at about 7 am and it pretty much started pouring as soon as we launched. This was kind of a blessing in disguise though because it basically meant we had the lake to ourselves. I only saw a few boats all day. We concentrated on fishing deep and it payed off. Before this trip my pb smallie was about 3.5lbs. I broke that early with a 4lber and later beat that again with a 4.25. Most of the bite for the day was smallies with one large and a few perch mixed in. Here is a few pics of the larger fish.
