It Was One of those Days
Message:
Wednesday I went back to Twin Brooks after getting other stuff done. Arrived around 3:15pm and started by a few spots at the main pond.
Nothing happened at the main pond and the sunnies and dinky bass didn't seem as aggressive with the Nymph as they were Tuesday.
Next I hit another pond and played topwater with the XRP-7. Had a few followers and small hits on the rear teaser tail.
Later I went to grab something to eat and drink before going back to Twin Brooks.
By the time it was almost 6pm I worked the pond that has been giving me the topwater action. 3 lures I threw were the XRP-7, Cisco Topwater, and the chrom blue prop bait.
The issue I was having was weeds. With the dry weather we've been having, water level seemed to have gone down more causing me to snag weeds.
Bass were being more cautios this time and just lightly tapping the rear teaser or turning back after following.
I had finally had it by 7:30pm
It was one of those days where the Fishing Gods are telling you that you need a break after how well you've been doing recently.
