Local Pond 5/3
Message:
Been very busy lately so I have not been able to post this. Sorry about being so late. Headed to a local pond to do some trout fishing with the girlfriend. It was around 7pm at night, 55 degrees out. Didn't know the water temp. I had my gf fishing next to a set of pads and I see her cast into them accidentally. As she is reeling in her line suddenly stops, and she says she thinks she is caught on the pads. Next thing I know I see this bass jump out of the water and hear her scream. I throw down my rod and run over to coach her as she fights the bass. I watch as she successfully steers the bass away from the pads and towards shore. Right when I lipped it I knew it was a nice bass. Forgot the scale in the car :x but was able to measure the length as 20 inches. Took a couple of pics and let her loose. I'd say it was around 4 lbs. Not bad for a quick trout fishing trip.
