What kid of rods and reels do you guys use? Wich on is beter, Bait casters, rocket launchers, ect.

I use shimano sidestab &sienna reels i like the rear mounted drag setups on both models.also both have quick cast lever, switchable handle for us lefties. bought my first one in 93 i still use it very durable reels.Rods vary based on baits wieght prentation and so on

Everything's got its own upside and downside.
I personally fish open faced spinning reels mostly, basically because I haven't found the patience yet to get good with a baitcaster. As far as rods, just find a nice balanced setup and you'll be good to go. Marc will disagree with me, and I have lost fish because of it, but I generally fish the lightest setup I can get away with in any situation. I'll be river fishing with 4 or 8 pound test with marc right next to me zinging away with 20 or 30. He loses fewer lures, I'll give him that, and fewer fish. But I'll take that trade off for the fun of really wrestling with an otherwise boring (read: small) fish.
