Random, not Ice Fishing, But ICE!

I don't ice fish, but I just had a question for you guys. Its been nasty icy weather up here recently and my parking lot is an absolute SHEET. you can't walk across it without falling on your ass. Cars are even more fun, I almost put mine into my neighbor's garden tonight. I needed to get a bunch of stuff out of the car tonight and wasn't sure how to do it until I remembered my trusty studded wading boots  . So, because I'm completely uncoordinated and wondering, do you guys have problems falling on the ice? any footwear to mitigate? (stupid I know, but this is coming from a guy who just was wearing wading boots to get around a parking lot)

lol thats pretty funny! , but once you get used to walking on a slippery surface your good, but sometimes you get those trips where you have completely naked ice and the sun beats down on it or temps go considerably above freezing it becomes nearly impossible to walk with out creepers or some kind of studded foot wear. Cheap creepers = your old work boots with a handful of sheet metal screws in the bottom, try it, works quite well

I played hockey for about 18 years so I can walk pretty good on ice. The key is to start off slow then increase to your normal pace once you get going. If you try to walk normally as soon as you take your first step you will slip. Just like a car if you gradually get your traction you will move but if you just punch it, you will just be spinning the tires.
