Seaside Park 9/2

Had a tough time trying to fall asleep overnight so I looked at the NWS forecast and radar, tides, and the local harbor buoy to see what to expect. High tide was scheduled for 9:52am and I was happy to see that today was gonna be one of those light south wind days we've hardly had this year.
Arrived at Breezy Point around 8:30am. Primary goal was to catch a keeper fluke even though I didn't mind having that light action fun with the sea robins. Lures I threw included shad Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, glass ghost Clackin Minnow CNM-11, silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7, glass ghost X-Rap Shad Shallow XRSH-8, and olive green Clackin Minnow CNM-9.
The lure that had the bite going mostly was the JSSR-7.
Stayed til about 11:30am and caught 7 sea robins and a 13" fluke. Had a fluke chase the SSR-9 and had a few bumps on the CNM-9. The CNM-11 and XRSH-8 still caught me sea robins.
Conditions were pretty nice as for wind. The whole time I was there there was a light 5 mph south wind with a few breezes up to 8 mph. Other conditions were 100% humidity and overcast skies with haze, mist, and fog.
One thing I saw going on that's giving me a feeling about a fall run bite picking up was schools of snappers doing a quick blitz on the surface before disappearing and popping up in another area 5 minutes later blitzing again.
