Saturday early morning I headed out with my waders on to hit the outgoing, low, and incoming at the Remington sandbar. Low tide was scheduled for 7:40am and arrived 3 hours before low. Tried playing with a number of plugs and some topwaters but never had a hit. Had a few sea robins follow. Saw bunker jumping on the outgoing but dead on the incoming. Later that day I hit Breezy Point which resulted in 3 sea robins. Monday afternoon I started off at the Fayerweather jetty around 12:45pm with high scheduled for 2:38pm. Caught a sea robin before making it out to the island. Tried throwing a chrome Skitter Pop SP-9 in the calmer waters in Black Rock Harbor but never got any swirls or explosions. At peak high I made my way over to the rocky stretch which resulted in 1 sea robin. Last stop was Breezy Point where I caught 5 more sea robins. Hit the road at 4:30pm. 3 lures that had sea robins interested were olive green Clackin Minnow CNM-9, glass ghost X-Rap Shad Shallow XRSH-8, and silver shad Jointed Shallow Shad Rap JSSR-7.
