Western Sound Fall Run?

I'm not liking what I've been reading and seeing recently.
I have a hunch most bunker will be staying east of New Haven causing us surfcasters to not get into much of a bluefish run this month and next month. Silversides haven't been around either.
Come mid October once water temps cool down into the mid and upper 60s, stripers will get active like last year with schoolies chasing the smaller baits and keepers chasing the shad in the evening and overnight.
Any other Western Sound fishermen have a feeling the summer bite and recent reports will result in a slow fall run until it gets to the time for better striper activity?
