Mt Tom Salmon (video) *** 2nd video added

We've been doing really well with a different specie so thought we would try something different so we loaded up the yaks and hit Mt tom on wednesday. We landed a few fish and lost a couple nice ones.. Landed 2 salmon and a hand full of trout, the salmon put up a fun fight. I got the two salmon on video here is mine and im still uploading my fathers. also had an eagle that was circling the pond and watch some osprey dive for and snatch up a couple trout.. FIsh were caught trolling various rapalas and metals. Good job. Looks like you exausted it out...no net!Hope you decided to keep it. Don't expect to get a salmon on every trip though.My buddy has been there the past 3 days and hasn't gotten anything but trout since his 33 inch 12 lber a couple of weeks ago. Wait until November and you get one in the 30 inch range.You'll really get a workout. The water is finally cooling and they are beginning to turn on. That eagle has been up tbere for a couple of years now.Always beautiful to see.

Im honestly not a big fan of fishing Mt Tom. So i may so one more trip before ice sets in and then a few trips on the ice. Mt Tom has been terrible the last few seasons we use to nail trout (few big ones) right of the beach through the ice. Met a gentleman up there who showed us how he fished for them on Mt Tom we hit them pretty good for a few season. When he passed away the fishing slowed i'll never forget that. If I HAVE to keep the salmon i will. With them being kept in the tanks and being so big/being fed hatchery food for so long not sure about the taste.
