one of the best fights of my life
Message:
Thursday night I fished the second half of the outgoing. It was supposed to rain all night but I never got wet. As my lure was getting close on my retrieve and I was about to lift my red fin out of the water, bam! my lure got slammed and this fish started peeling line!, I knew it was a nice fish, hoping it was a huge striper. This fight was tough, my rod bent over, several long runs and a very hard constant pull and pressure was felt during this 10-15 minute fight. I [img:6ca3df4c09]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=21887[/img:6ca3df4c09] sure if I was going to get it in. It also was stuck in a strong current. Finally I got him, not what I wanted, but this is still a PB for bluefish. This 34" but really, really fat blue weighing over 15lbs, The pic doesnt due it justice thats my big size 13 wading boot in the pic, I was by myself at night and it was released so I didnt get any good pics. I a;lso got this nice 31" blue on topwater superstrike yellow popper at the mouth of the river a couple days ago [img:6ca3df4c09]http://www.ctfishtalk.com/gallery2.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=21878[/img:6ca3df4c09]

Nice blue! Your holding you're rod the fly-fishing way.....yet.....i see a spinning set-up.????? I guess you must be a fly-flicker that chose to be a spinner for the day.
