Rough out there Today

Saturday's plan was to fish at Breezy Point on the last of the incoming due to what time I was gonna get there and the time of the tide. When I get down there around 3:15pm I saw white caps galore and huge waves with sea mist from the waves! That meant head down to the Fayerweather jetty so I could cast into calmer Black Rock Harbor. Lures I threw while the tide was still coming in included purpledescent Shallow Shad Rap SSR-9, tennessee olive shad Clackin Minnow CNM-9,pearl grey shiner Flat Rap FLR-10, blue sardine Saltwater X-Rap SXR-10, mullet Saltwater Rattlin Rapala SRNR-8, and silver blue Skitter Pop SP-9. Caught a chubby 16" schoolie with the SSR-9. Once it was getting closer to high tide I had to head over to the pier due to the waves crashing over the jetty. Didn't catch anything at the pier. Next was the city boat ramp. Had what seemed to be a tailor shoot up and pull back on the CNM-9 right near shore. Caught another schoolie around 16" with the CNM-9. Gave me a nice little fight on the schoolie setup. Just before sunset around the turn of the tide I headed over to Remington. Didn't catch anything there and the usual surf caster wasn't there. 2 others were there going for porgy. Hit the road just before 7pm. From recent trips to Seaside it seems like most surf casting action has been around West Beach, Fayerweather Island, and inner areas of Black Rock Harbor. Many people were at Seaside today with their iPhones, cameras, and video recorders for this: [img:69fa5998fe]http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r614/mvsimko/HugeWavesCrashingAshoreatSeasidecausingSeaMist10-12-13_zps4254ebf0.jpg[/img:69fa5998fe] [img:69fa5998fe]http://i1174.photobucket.com/albums/r614/mvsimko/4to5FootWavesatWestBeachandFayerweatherJetty10-12-13_zpsa697f8b7.jpg[/img:69fa5998fe] Very gusty 20 to 30 mph east and southeast winds had the waters very choppy with waves up to 5 feet!!!

Answers my question about the sound or river tomorrow. Forecast is for much the same.
