Fall Run, Bluefish/Stripers

Decided to use a few vacation days last week and get out to the shore for some surfishing, after a few slow days with nothing but dogfish I was finally rewarded with a nice bluefish that gave me the best fight of my life. After about a 10 minute battle and 3 long runs I finally tired it out enough to get it to shore. I dont have a scale and I released it so im not sure how much it weighed but it measured 34 inches and had a big belly on it.

Also caught a few schoolie stripers on a topwater plug.

One of my recent catches was a very chubby 28" bluefish weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces. Earlier this year I caught a 36" 12 pound gator, but this time of year it would have weighed more.
My guestimate for a fall run 34" gator would be somewhere between 12 to 14 pounds.
