Thursday I hit the city boat ramp again starting around 1:45pm. Conditions were nice with a light wind and occasional 8 to 12 mph gusts. Direction was northeast to southeast. Throughout the afternoon I only landed 1 schoolie and had 3 hits on the FLR-10. A buddy came later and tried throwing a pearl white soft plastic shad but only had 3 hits. Later I headed over to Remington after the buddy told me the discharge has been running and shiners were thick there. I fished for about 45 minutes resulting in landing 1 schoolie and having no other hits. I'd occasionally see a small pod of herring jumping. Hit the road around 5:20pm Next step with striper fishing will be riding my bike to the bus terminal with gear and wearing waders and taking one of the buses to get to Short Beach.
