Gave it a Shot

Originally plan for Sunday was to hit the TMA, but after doing it yesterday and noticing all the ice covering the river, I decided to check out the Pequonnock below the Bunnells dam. Started off at the Wonderland of Ice and saw the water was flowing nicely. 2 lures I tried throwing in my usual spots were a size 1 silver blade Mepps Dressed Aglia and hot steel Original Floater F-3. I was surprised to not even get into a few redbreasts or bluegills with the Mepps. Later I went to Glenwood Park. Couldn't stand on the slanted embankment due to ice. Threw the Mepps for a while but not even a hold over trout hit it. Last stop was the North Ave bridge and never saw a yellow perch, white perch, or crappie follow the Mepps.
