Headed back down Thursday with the same setup and same lures. Arrived just before noon while tide was at peak high. Saw a buddy there who said he hadn't gotten any hits or followers yet. Played around with the Clackin Minnows, Husky Jerk, and Saltwater X-Rap and also tried throwing a 1/2 ounce chartreuse bucktail. As tide was midway out, I had a swipe on the SXR-10. Buddy was starting to get hits on a 1/2 ounce white bucktail but they seemed to be smaller schoolies just hitting the tail end. Once he left a local arrived. He never got into anything and also tried throwing a sabiki rig for the herring. Later I lost one of those more aggressive schoolies in the lower or mid 20" range with the SXR-10. Never saw or heard anything just before sunset and on. Hit the road around 5:45pm.
