Decided to Check It Out
Message:
Seeing Saturday was a reasonably mild day with light winds, I decided to check out Remington. High tide was scheduled for 12:06pm and moon phase was 1%. Arrived just after 1:30pm. Played with the SXR-10, CNM-9, CNM-11, 4" pearl white silver fleck Berkley Subwoofer, and 4" Bomber Shad soft plastic. Soft plastics were rigged with 1 ounce Hurricane jigheads. Never saw any flashes or had any hits while doing different jerk and pause retrieves with the Rapalas. Sometimes when I'd be doing an up-jerk-per-second retrieve with the Berkley I'd feel as if I was hitting herring or getting hits on the rear. During mid tide is when 3 loons came in and started feeding. Once they left is when I was able to wade out on the sandbar with my hip boots, which is when things went dead. Water was cold and felt like the mid 30s while last time the water felt like the lower 40s. Saw ice floating in the harbor. Hit the road just before 5:30pm.

Michael, You keep posting while most people have retired for the winter. I'm going to enjoy fishing with you on Candlewood next summer bud! Keep up the good work. Nice to see people that really love to fish.
