Open bass tournys

Me and my friend want to get started in bass tournaments, im 18 and he is 16.. Were members of BASS but not CT BASS.... We don;t want to start fishing big tournaments like BASS, so I was wondering if there Are a lot of open tournaments in the summer in CT that we can sign up for? And will they be posted on here? He has a boat and a livewell.
