For those of you who surf cast and need corkers but cheaper
Message:
I saw a flyfishing review where someone needed studs for their wading boots and found the best option so I checked it out and it seems the way to go. KoldKutter.com has 250 studs for about $21 that are 3/8" and have a v pattern on the head. These are designed for ice dirtbike racing and they do have other lengths but these are the shortest and Im pretty sure this length will work great. il keep you informed on how they work once I try them out this year. Im going to by another pair of wading boots of better quality for everyday wading and stud the ones I have right now for use on the rocks.

Well F that company! I tried twice to place an order and when I do they say a salesperson will get in touch with you shortly with total for shipping. that never happened! So I ended up ordering a pair of Korkers. Probably better off this way anyway!

Sheetmetal screws work great unless you're around rocks with heavy weeds on them. They're cheap, and you occasionally lose one, but they stick in felt soles nicely and keep you from falling in the water. I used Grip Studs all last season; more expensive, almost as much as Korkers to outfit a pair of boots, but zero wear. Longer business end than screws and grippier on rocks. In fact, I removed them from the boots because the boots are shot but the studs are fine.
