Killed some Time
Message:
Later in the afternoon seemed to be reasonable conditions outside to get out and check out some local water. Hit the Pequonnock for about an hour starting at the Wonderland of Ice just before 4:30pm before heading over to the North Ave bridge.
Lures I played around with included brown trout Flat Rap FLR-6, yellow perch Husky Jerk HJ-6, 1/8 ounce chartreuse marabou jig, and a Panther Martin.
Both spots never saw any action even if I bounced the marabou with long pauses or tiny twitches on the bottom. No perch, baby stripers, or redbreasts were interested in the HJ-6 no matter what retrieve I did.
Hit the road around 5:30pm
Water was running about normal with a good flow. Water temp was very cold.
