Slow down in action?

I tried a new spot this weekend . the bite was kind of slow. Not what i have been used to in other spots for the last few weeks. I even tried one of the other spots briefly to see if the bite was still on and it seemed dead so i left.
Anybody else experience a slower bite this past weekend?
