Mondo Pond 4/2
Message:
Headed back out to Mondo Pond Wednesday afternoon and arrived just after 2pm. Had my 6 footer with me this time. Skies were mostly cloudy and winds were a steady 5 to 8 mph breeze when I first got there. Clouds diminished as the afternoon went on and winds died as sunset got closer.
Lures I played with included silver shad JSR-4, helsinki shad HJ-8, pearl grey shiner CNC-53, yellow perch CNM-7, bullfrog Baby Torpedo, #1 Mepps Aglia Dressed, hot tiger FLR-8, yellow perch J-7, and brown trout J-7.
I had small pickerel interested in the Baby Torpedo but couldn't set the hook due to how small the pickerel were.
Lost a pickerel on the JSR-4 and missed out on one that looked at least 2 or 3 pounds.
Saw bluegills had gotten stacked up along the shore and in coves and heard an osprey.
Hit the road just before 7pm.
