are you able to get crab this time of the year for toug season?

I don't know anyone who carries them for the spring season. You may want to get to the launch early, flip over come rocks and see if there are asians around. If you launch at 4 mile, you might be able to get them in the bay.
I've caught tog on sandworms in the spring. Got a nice 5lb'er while flounder fishing a couple of years ago.
