Husky Jerk still in Action
Message:
Arrived at Mondo just before 12:45pm Thursday and fished til just after 7:30pm. This time I had a total of 4 HJ-6 with me.
Hit a number of spots as the day went on and would occasionally get into a school of crappie. Pickerel weren't as active as they have been.
3 HJ-6 I threw were Gold, Tennessee Shad, and Yellow Perch. All 3 produced by doing the retrieve I've been hitting most fish with. Pickerel would only hit if I did a quick snapping retrieve like the way you'd work a Zara Spook.
Total for the day was 13 crappie, 4 pickerel, 2 yellows, 5 bluegills, and 2 largemouths.
Crappie ranged from 7" to 11". Both yellows were nice 8". Didn't get into any nice 8" bluegills this time. Both bass were dinks. Pickerel ranged from slender 13" to a nice 15"er just over a pound.
Fight of the day was a tie between the 15" pickerel and a nice 11" crappie.
Show of the day was a 7" bluegill.
Fish of the day was the 11" crappie.
