Worst Opening Day Ever
Message:
Arrived at the Pequonnock River at Beardsley Park around 9:15am on Opening Day. I was surprised not to see a big crowd.
I hit a number of spots and played with many Rapalas but never got a hit or follower.
Later I went to the Trumbull Rd bridge which is where I caught a small 9" brookie and had 4 followers.
Headed back down the Pequonnock to a certain spot but nada.
Headed up to Unity Park where I had 3 followers and missed out on a nice trout that looked about 2 pounds.
Finally I had had it.
Other fishermen weren't having much luck and most fish were no bigger than 11".
Looks like the state did a small stocking.

Just throw out a handful of pellets. Every fish in a 100yd radius will think it's feeding time.
