Housatonic River - Indian Wells

Well I got there a little late, around 1030am keeping in mind that feeding is usually around first light till around 11ish. (correct me if I'm wrong). Fished with power bait off the swimming pier right next to the boat ramp. Nice and sunny no winds untill around noon when the winds picked up dramatically and made it very hard to cast. left around 130pm and the only thing I caught was what seemed to be a 10in big mouth. This was my first time fishing the Housatonic and wonder if anyone knows whats the ideal time and roughly the area where I might have better luck?
