Housy 5/3
Message:
Jeff and I hit the Housy Saturday evening. We each brought our 7 footers with mostly smaller plugs but still a few bigger ones.
As the tide was still going out, within a few casts I got a hit and set the hook with a purpledescent SSR-9 but pretty soon lost the fish.
Jeff and I played around with a number of lures but it was that small lure schoolie game, cause nothing would hit Jeff's SP Minnow.
Jeff beat the skunk with a glass ghost SXR-10 and also had 2 hits and a follower.
I caught a total of 3 and had 3 other hits all with a spotted minnow SXR-10.
Most fish were around the 20" mark with 1 being a small 14"er.
We decided to head in around 8:20pm due to stormy skies that we had been watching for a while and also with how slow the bite was.
Water temps felt a few degrees warmer than the last time we were out.
