Quiet this time
Message:
After seeing NWS updated their pinpoint forecast calling for winds to no longer be gusty and dying down towards sunset, I headed down to the city ramp. Setup was the 7'6" F&S Inferno/Pursuit II 4000/30 lb Spiderwire Stealth.
When I get there just after 4:30pm I was surprised to see how quiet the water was vs last time I was there. There were a few bunker jumping here and there but it wasn't mania. The only thicker schools I saw were around the boats and buoys.
Tried casting with the XRW-11 and SP-9 and also tried snagging bunker.
Spent about 4 hours and only got 1 swirl on the XRW-11. Was able to snag 2 bunker but never got any takers.
Once it was sunset bunker started getting more active and thicker but I didn't get anything to hit the second bunker I had snagged.

Cut the bunker up and try fishing chunks under the schools. That's an easier meal
For a striper. If there are a lot of bunker around and they are not getting harassed there aren't many gamefish around but you can still pick up a thirty inch fish on a chunk.

I'm sure it's more important to michael to catch a fish on his own terms than to chunk bunker.
I'm the same way. How many times can you go soak chunks before you devolve?
