Mansfield Hollow

Last week Mansfield Hollow was clear not much weed at all. Went out last night, the ENTIRE lake is one giant massive weed bed. Some sort of invasive seaweed of some sort has completely taken over this lake. Does this happen every year? No wonder there was nobody out here, there isnt a chance a motor boat could make it through any of this.

The first time I went, the water level was so high it covered the ramp and the culvert to the lower part of the lake was almost completely under water. When I went back a few days later, the water level was so low that it was below the bottom of the ramp. I guess it's a paddling lake, now.

A local lake had little to no weeds a week ago, went there yesterday and every rock was covered with algae and weeds flooded the shallows. Are the weeds you're talking about the slimy/stringy stuff? It covers the milfoil and everything its near.
