Bass Fishing near Windsor Locks/Windsor

Hey beginner fisherman here, my son & I want to go LMB fishing. Just wondering if there are any good local spots around here or even close by 20-30 min. I heard maybe Rainbow Reservoir but you really need a boat. We're in the process of getting our boat fixed so if you have any good spots from the shore first let me know then from a boat and we can hit up those spots soon. Any help would be appreciated. :D

Fish the CT River by the Windsor Lock Canals or the Enfield side. THis can be good for Smallmouths
