Good One Day Bad the Next

After having a great time at the honey hole Friday, I hit it again Saturday. Low tide for Black Rock was scheduled for 5:56pm and brought my 8 footer with me this time. Arrived about an hour before dead low. On my fifth cast or so, the 8 footer broke in half while casting with an XRW-13. Luckily a guy I run into a lot at the parking lot down there was by himself and was nice enough to give me a ride back to my place to switch rods and head right back down. Once I got back to the honey hole is when tide was just starting to come in. 2 issues I was having were southwest winds from 8 to 15 mph and weeds being pushed in by the winds. The whole time I was out there and covered the same area as Friday, I only got 2 small explosions. Once it was 8pm I headed back Downtown to grab the bus to head home.
