Looks for a nice hike/fishing spot on Lake Lilly

Taking the family up north a bit, wanted to do little hiking and fishing. I'm looking at Old Bridge park in Brookfield but not sure if you can even fish there.... Also considering Waldo State park.....but people are saying not good for fishing? So far it looks like lillinonah woods park might be the best spot? Anyone ever hit up Upper or Lower Paugussett State Forest? Those are HUGE, perhaps too much hiking, just wondering if any of these parks have good access to water. Thanks in Advance
