alt. wire for F/F

I have a hummingbird 550 that has cut wires(power). i.m thinking of putting it on the bow (trolling motor transducers)have to buy one.....but I need to add wire so I can go to power what kind and gage of wire should I be looking for?

Humminbird sells finder power cables. The model number for the six footer is PC10.

thanks. i spliced in with 16 gage and it works now have to get a trolling motor ducer.
