Spinnerbait had them Going
Message:
Arrived at Mondo Ponds just before 4pm Tuesday. Conditions seemed favorable for a good bite, with skies being mostly cloudy, air cool and moist, lingering showers, light southerly flow, and weak low pressure.
Worked the spots I have been recently and found 1 lure to be the hit. Tried throwing the SW-8, purple nurple FLR-8, hot tiger FLR-8, brown trout J-7, gold florescent red F-7, and Strike King Mr Crappie Lightning shad, but the only lure working was a custom made inline spinner.
As the evening went on I covered areas that were open enough to throw the spinner, resulting in 5 cookie cutters, 6" bluegill, and 10.5" 12 ounce crappie. Lost what seemed to be a crappie and had a number of swipes. Had a small pickerel follow the lure twice.
Hit the road just before 7:30pm
Here's the lure that they were hitting. Hand made by a seller on Ebay and 3 of them came on the listing.
