Bunker but no Fish

After getting home from fishing Great Hollow, I switched gear and ate something before heading out the door to Seaside. Arrived at the city ramp just after 5:30. Winds were a steady 8 mph straight south, air was mild, and water temp was 51.1. Tried throwing numerous topwaters, plugs, and a purple gold CNR-8 but never had any hits, followers, or swirls. Saw bunker splashing and jumping. I then headed over to check out Breezy Point but saw the tide had already gotten too low, so I headed right back over to the city ramp. As the evening went on, bunker got more active but still never got into any stripers. Hit the road at 8.
