It was a hole that filled in with water. Heavily fished by tournament anglers. Early spring over fished by out of staters due to the ban on bass fishing during spawn (Connecticut Take Note). $15 Launch Fee. Boat rentals (12' aluminum with 4hp motor. Lots of fish. Bite depends on pressure, time of day and season. Holds Trout, Salmon, Large and Small Mouth Bass, pickerel and pan-fish. Rock Bass on steroids. Pleasure Boaters can ruin your day on the weekend. Residents mostly friendly as long as you respect their property.

East Twin Lake used to have a much higher population of chain pickerel in it until the state had a special tournament.
When the state first started stocking trout in East Twin, they noticed they weren't successful due to the chain pickerel population. That made them have a special tournament for chain pickerel. Part of the tournament was people keeping their limit of legal chain pickerel so the state could be more successful with the trout stocking.
Pike, Muskie, Chain Pickerel, etc enjoy feasting on trout and salmon, making those 2 types of fish their #1 source of food.
