They Were Feeding!
Message:
After covering water with topwater at Twin Brooks, I arrived at the Wonderland of Ice around 7:30. Hit my 2 usual spots by throwing a 1/6 ounce all white inline, which landed me a small yellow, dinky bass, and cookie cutter just under a pound. Later I go to the lower tidal section at Glenwood Park. When I get there I see small swirls on the surface in some areas, as if there was small fry swimming around and being chased. Started by throwing the spinner, but was just getting taps and wacks. Switched over to a HJ-6 and did a slashbait retrieve with it, which had fish going. Total was a dinky bass, 4" redbreast, and a total of 6 yellows ranging from just over an inch to 5 inches. The yellows were the ones slamming the HJ-6. Hit the road around 8:30 I'm sure those black crowned night herons are having a feast tonight!
