Pequonnock Bpt 8/5
Message:
After fishing Bunnell's Pond and upper sections of Beardsley Park, I hit lower sections of the Pequonnock for a total of about 1 hour.
I started at my 2 usual spots at the Wonderland of Ice. Landed a cookie cutter just over a pound on the Tiny Torpedo that got me the 3 pounder.
Once I got the Heddon stuck on a small marshy vine, I tried throwing a few spinners before switching over to an original pearl shad FLR-6. The retrieve was a jerk every full second.
Total with that lure and retrieve at the Wonderland of Ice was a cookie cutter just under a pound and a 4" redbreast. Also lost a pickerel. Total at the lower tidal section at Glenwood Park with that lure and retrieve was 3 dinky bass, 1 dinky yellow, and a 5" yellow. The 5" yellow slammed the lure and pulled nicely.
