Bluefish

I don't have much experience fishing for bluefish, but I know that the Connecticut State Record is 24 pounds, 13 ounces. Yesterday, NWDarkcloud (aka Bob), TurtleKiss (aka Kira) and I caught a bunch over the flats of the Connecticut River that ranged from about eight pounds to 16 pounds, five ounces. After the fun we had with them, yesterday, I'd rather catch a bunch of blues than pike. What's considered to be a BIG bluefish?

If you don't have much history with catching bluefish, or big bluefish, than big would be a 10 pound gator blue. But if you've caught plenty over 10 pounds, than a 15 pound gator blue is big. You hardly find bluefish called gorilla blues anymore. Those are 20 pounds and over.
