Beat the Skunk

Monday I arrive at Seaside around 11. Tide was low at 10:11. Wind was a light north which became a 10 to 20 west in the afternoon before dying off around sunset. Right as I arrive on the scene, blues had just started busting. I locked my bike and got over there. 2 lures I used were a custom made 2 ounce clown color pencil popper and custom made 1.5 ounce purple black bottle neck. Got numerous explosions on the pencil popper and landed an 11 pound gator with the bottle neck. Throughout the remainder of the day, nothing much happened and hardly anybody got action. The bite has changed within the past week or 2. It used to be afternoon til last light, but now it's become morning til early afternoon with the chance of a good sunset bite.
