Excellent Conditions But Slow Day
Message:
Seeing we're now in standard time, I decided to stay up overnight Wednesday into early Thursday to hit Seaside. Arrived around 5:45am. Throughout the day it was very slow. Birds were out of range. I beat the skunk with a 22" schoolie and got 4 explosions. Hit the road around 5pm. Many of us were very disappointed with the bite due to the conditions. Conditions throughout the day were light and variable winds, patchy fog, clear water, overcast skies, scattered drizzle, air temps in the mid 60s, and water staying steady at 59. All of those conditions put together would mean great striper action, and there's still tons of peanut bunker around.
