The End
Message:
Friday I hit the Pequonnock behind Bushwick Metal for about 2 hours.
I only got 1 hit on a spotted minnow SXR-10.
There were still lots of peanut and adult bunker around and saw gulls going crazy a few times. Never saw any nice splashes other than adult bunker around sunset.
It looks like I'm calling it the end for local striper fishing and it'll be freshwater now, unless somebody gets me out to the upper Housy.

i was there wednesday evening and this afternoon for about an hour..no luck
just before sunset on wednesday i was on the opposite side...the pier
a few schoolies no bigger than 12" was chasing 1" peanut bunker on the surface close to the pier
today i went over to your spot mike..by that make-shift tent
big school of adult bunker VERY slowly circling at the shoreline near the tent
not a care in the world
have you given up on your short beach "honey hole"??
with the bunker still in the river and coming that close to shore..i was thinking of maybe live-lining one or two at short beach?!?!
