Just moved to the windsor area, looking for some kayak and shore friendly spots within the area. How is the scantic river? Mainly looking to catch LM, SM and Pike

Scantic is "OK" If you want to trout fish Rainbow resivoir is great for small and large mouth bass - Not much shore access will need to use your Yak, be careful though a lot of speed boats and jet skis CT River - Great for Smallies Farmington river good for pike and trout, can get stripers to when they are running Then if you want to travel north some Congamond in suffield and Crystal lake both have an assortment of fish and are Kayak friendly, not great for shore on either of these though
