Friday afternoon I arrived at the discharge at Seaside. Had my chest waders on along with my new 9' Star Rods Stellar. Low tide was scheduled for 6:52. Winds stayed a gusty 10 to 20 ranging from the southwest to the northwest. Water temp at the local buoy read 46 the previous night. Bunker weren't as active this time compared to Tuesday. 5 lures I played with were Purpledescence FLR-16, Purple Gold CNR-8, Shad RNR-8, Gold XRW-13, and a custom wood 2 ounce purple bottleneck. Throughout the afternoon until sunset, I took a few breaks just to keep an eye on the peanut bunker. Total was 1 hit on the CNR-8 and lost 1 on the XRW-13. The striper slammed the lure just a yard or 2 in front of me before right away running. Felt like 32" or 34" keeper. Hit the road just after sunset.
