Sunday I hit numerous spots on the Pequonnock, from Beardsley Park up to Twin Brooks Park. Arrived at Beardsley around 2. I never saw a single trout hanging around in the usual sections and never had a single hit or follower. Next I hit the big pool at the old Trumbull Rd bridge. That's where I got numerous hits on a Pear Gray Shiner FLR-6 and Helsinki Shad HJ-6. Landed 2 browns with 1 being a chunky 12" fish. Lost a few trout, which were all small. Later I hit Unity Park. Only 1 other fisherman was there. I never had a single hit or follower and saw nothing hanging out in the usual areas. Next stop was Twin Brooks Park. I checked out 2 spots on the Pequonnock. 1 spot was where trout were hanging out. Had a few swipes but never set the hook. Headed back down to Bridgeport and hit the Wonderland of Ice, Glenwood Park, and North Ave bridge. Had 1 hit at Glenwood Park. Called it a night just after 7. Word was the state stocked very few at Beardsley Park.
