Hit the river for 10-20 minutes this afternoon down off Quarry Rd under the walking bridge. 2 guys said they saw a couple brown trout being taken out. They were fishing off the bridge with about a 7 foot saltwater pole..... they had no clue. I was rigged with my 5'6" ugly stick with a Mepps black fury. No hits on that while i was fishing near the bottom of the pool. Ended up getting stuck on a rock. Then i switched to a silver Phoebe and fished under the bridge. First cast out landed me a small brown trout and then there was nothing doing after that. I plan to hit the river tomorrow morning with my bike at Indian Ledge. I want to get there for sunrise and see what is up in the pools.
