Question on shore access hammonasett

Do you need a state pass to access hammonasett state park after park Hours close? I went once and early AM and the gates were closed. Any help on how to fish late night or early morning would be helpful. Thanks!

If you going there for fishing, you need to stop by the gate office to check in. it doesn't cost anything.
