Roaring Brook

Hello;
I used to fish years ago with my dad at Roaring Brook in Glastonbury for trout. Always seemed to have good luck. However, not living in Glastonbury technically it is illegal now to go and fish there(I believe the section by the swimming pool there which is a town park is only open to the public from opening day until June?) Has anyone fished other section of the brook possibly more toward the Stafford area that is legal to fish now (July)?
