CT river 4th of July

Hit the river with my uncle and 2 cousins to cruise around, fish a little, wakeboard a little. My god I must be getting old - Im sore in places I didn't know existed from only 10-15 mins on the wakeboard! Fished near the drop-offs of the shoreline between Rocky Hill and Wethersfield mostly and managed a single dink smallie on a lipless crank. Water was super warm - 78 degrees in some spots. It was a relaxing day and even though the fishing wasn't on fire it was good to be on the river. Also, surprisingly fewer boats than I expected to see... which was cool.
