silver lake 4/7

I went out to silver lake in meridan yesterday. I got on the water at 5:30ishPM. It was choppy as hell. I was really only there to break in my new motor. Anyway, I went right to my favorite spot and caught a bass on my first cast - about 1.5lber. Second cast I caught a 6" pickerel. A couple more cast and I land a 2.5lb LM. I go for another cast and landed my bait in a tree - lost my bait:(. The wind was so bad I gave up and just cruised around the lake in the chop. All fish were caught on a minnow colored jerk bait - suspending.

Nice job,..you did better than me!
I went to Moodus late yestarday afternoon and went fishless tossing a jerkbait and a jig for about an hour before I gave up,..the wind and cold was just no fun! Very difficult to stay connected to your bait and still fish them slow enough! :(

mark I got lucky as I only fished for about 15 minutes before giving up.
