Upper Moodus 5-12-07

My son and I fished an open T on Upper Moodus today. There were 10 boats, which is quite a bit for Moodus. The T had a 15" minimum length. Good thing because we caught 50 bass, mostly 12" bass. I went through 6 bags of plastics today! All my good bass came on a Netbait stickbait. 5ft of water or less. Some bass were on beds, but they were mostly the little guys.
The 1st bass was the big 1 of the day for us, 5lbs, 9oz. We managed to put a limit together by 10.am.. We had 1 bass that just made 15". We ended up taking 1st with 15lbs even! :D :D 2nd was 14lbs 10oz. Someone caught a Beauty of a largemouth at 7lbs to take lunker. A great day on the water.
